Welcome guide

Welcome to Caves Road Chalets
Below are some helpful tips to enhance your experience with us.

What is the property like?

Caves Road Chalets is located 10 kilometres from the Margaret River township. There are 6 rustic loft style chalets on our property, which are private and quiet. Chalets are surrounded by natural bush land, with gorgeous native flowers blooming in spring, and flora and fauna to enjoy all year round. We’re also close to the ocean, and local vineyards and breweries.

How many people do your chalets sleep?

Our 1 bedroom chalets accommodate a maximum of 2 people. 2 bedroom chalets accommodate a maximum of 5 people.

When can I check in and check out?

Check in is from 2pm on the day you are due to arrive. If you need a late check in, please contact us and we can arrange this for you.

Check out is by 10am on the day of your departure.

What if I want to cancel my booking?

As we are only a small operation with high demand, we cannot always refund the full cost of your booking if you decide to cancel. We highly recommend you cover yourself with travel insurance, just in case something unforeseen occurs. Please check our Bookings section for our full cancellation terms.

Will I be charged for cleaning?

We do ask that you leave the chalet in a clean and reasonable condition when you leave, as additional cleaning will incur an extra charge. Repairs will also incur an additional charge – both of which will be deducted from the credit card presented on arrival.

Do you provide dog-friendly accommodation?

Yes! Dogs are more than welcome. Just let us know before you make your booking, as in rare cases, we cannot accommodate certain breeds of dog. We have a limit of 2 dogs per chalet, and each dog will cost $11 per night. For our Pet Policy, please click here.

Can I smoke in the chalet?

No. Our chalets are non-smoking. However, you are welcome to smoke outdoors. We do require patrons to pay an additional cleaning fee, if they smoke inside the chalets. This fee covers cleaning for curtains, blinds, mattresses, lounge suites and other effected items. We also require patrons to pay for the period of time the chalet is unrented, while it is being restored to its previous condition.

Do you have high chairs?

Yes. High chairs, baby baths, stair guards and cots are available on request.

Can I use the log fire in my chalet?

Yes of course! You are welcome to use the log fire during the winter months, but you will need to buy firewood. This is usually available from the service station in town or good hardware stores.
